NSK publishes how-to video for wheel hub bearing replacement

NSK Ltd. (NSK; Headquarters: Tokyo, Japan; President and CEO: Toshihiro Uchiyama) has published on YouTube a new instructional video showing how to replace wheel hub unit bearings. The video, first shown at AAPEX, the world's largest automotive aftermarket expo, is available online to all today.

Background

The video features NSK's first-generation hub unit bearing (HUB I), which is widely used around the world. In Japan, the replacement procedure is generally performed by nationally licensed mechanics in professional repair garages. However, in other countries, these bearings are often replaced in home garages or without the appropriate tools or instructions. This can lead to damaging the attachment point, its surroundings, or even the bearing itself. To help avoid such issues, and to safely and properly replace hub bearings, NSK has produced this instructional video showing the correct procedure and the required tools and parts. The video also features many little tips and tricks that may prove useful when replacing your hub bearings.
